Description

The special economic zone “Chemical Park Taraz” was established in 2012 by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 426 dated November 13, 2012. It is focused on the use of advanced high-performance, environmentally friendly foreign and domestic innovations which will allow to produce highly competitive chemical products. The chemical park will produce ammonia and its derivatives, plant-protecting agents and plant growth regulators, caustic soda, feed phosphates, flotation reagents, plastic pipes, glass containers etc. In the future this list can be expanded. The total volume of attracted investment is 5.5 billion tenge. 147 jobs have been created so far, 2400 more are expected to be created.

Types of activity in the territory of the  SEZ

  1. Manufacturing industry (except for production of food, drinks, tobacco products, wooden and pith products, products from straws and materials for weaving, furniture, press and reproduction of the written-down materials, and repair and installation of cars and the equipment);
  2. Construction and commissioning of the facilities intended directly for implementation of priority and auxiliary activities within the design and budget documentation.

Operating businesses

  1. "CHEM-plus" LLP: production of inorganic chemical products, pesticides and other agrochemical products;
  2. "Qadam Industries" LLP: production of pesticides and other agrochemical products;
  3. "Kyzylorda Munay Gas" LLP: production of methanol;
  4. «Central Asia Chemical» LLP: production of ethylene polymers and hydrogen peroxide;
  5. «Inter-marketing» LLP: manufacture of organosulfur products.

China invested projects

  1. Production of liquified gas
  2. Production of phosphorus trichloride and glyphosate
  3. Production of potassium sulfate.
